World language Spanish

Spanish is the official language in 21 countries therefore Spanish is the second language in the world after English. It is the mother tongue of 400 million people. 40 million of these live in the USA and 2 million in the Philippines.
Spanish is the first foreign language in the USA and the percentage of the Hispanic population is constantly increasing.

Spanish is one of the five official languages of the United Nations.

For a growing number of people it is becoming more and more important to know Spanish. But why is this language becoming so significant?

Spanish shows a strong homogeneity. From Barcelona to Chile or Mexico the people can understand each other well despite different dialects. The importance of the Hispanic economic sphere is also increasing. This includes exports of coffee, rice, soya, fruits, natural resources, meat, etc, as well as the import of machines and technology. The Spanish speaking countries also have valuable cultural assets and significant archeological findings. The Spanish cultural area reaches from the Arabic-oriental culture of Spain to the heritage of the new world, to the empire of the Aztecs and Mayas in Mexico as well as to Central America and down to the Inca Empire.

Latin America has brought forth many famous personalities, e.g. several Nobel prize winners in the areas of peace and literature.

It is obvious – learning Spanish is important and provides advantages and with Comfort Learning it is also fun!
